Opposition Avoiding Discussion on Manipur Issue, No Response on Bengal, Rajasthan and Bihar: Gajendra Singh Shekhawat
New Delhi, [July.29.2023]
In the midst of the ongoing turmoil surrounding the Manipur issue, the opposition parties are seemingly evading any discussion on the matter. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat launched a scathing attack on the opposition, accusing them of deliberately avoiding dialogue on the Manipur issue while keeping it alive as a political tool. He also pointed out that the opposition is well aware that discussions will inevitably arise on incidents in Rajasthan, West Bengal, and Chhattisgarh as well.
Speaking exclusively to ANI (Asian News International), Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat expressed his disappointment with the opposition’s reluctance to engage in a meaningful discussion on the Manipur issue. He highlighted that on the first day of the Parliament session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders expressed their willingness to address the concerns raised by the opposition. However, the opposition chose not to pursue a productive dialogue and instead resorted to keeping the issue alive for their political interests.
